The Christmas Reunion is one of the more relaxed events on the OMV calendar. It takes place at Worth Abbey which is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside. It is a great chance to meet up with old friends from Lourdes and spend some time catching up and praying together, away from the hustle and bustle of most OMV events! Not that there’s the chance to get bored though – with painting and crafts in the art room, some fiercely competitive football in the sports hall or just taking a walk and enjoying the grounds of the abbey. We also take the opportunity to join the monks of the abbey in prayer and meditation during the weekend. The church is a magnificent building and there is certainly no place like it for a quiet night-time prayer and some silent contemplation. |
The highlight of the weekend is the Saturday night, kicking off with a delicious traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. This is followed by the Christmas party, where we recreate the end-of-Lourdes atmosphere and entertainments with jokes, songs and skits plus of course a good helping of everyone’s favourite Christmas carols. Both the HP’s and helpers get involved and its always a great evening. |

How to apply  |
Places are limited and this event is guaranteed to pack out so book early to avoid disappointment. To apply, fill in the application form and send it to Mark Haden with a cheque in the post. The closing date for applications is the 24th November. Remember that this event is open to non-OMVers so could be the perfect opportunity to introduce a friend. |
